Designed for the 1st generation Miata to give the cars a nicer more integrated
rear body line by eliminating the excessive heavy-looking overhang.
The SDD replacement cover is made in light weight composite
and installs using the original factory hardware.
Minor modifications are required to the original factory brace but
these are not difficult.
The bumper covers come in primer gel coat and require a minimal amount
of work to prep for paint.
One factor to consider is that with the removal of the factory bumper cover
the 2½ mph crash worthiness is lost along with a considerable amount of weight.
No exhaust holes are cut so you can cut the cover to work with any system
modifications that you have already done or are planning to do.
